Delivery Information

It is important that you read the information contained on this page as it describes how we will deliver our goods to you.

If you have any questions, please either WhatsApp a message to our Sales Team or call them on 01726-71198 (available Monday to Friday between 7.30am to 5.00pm).

VEHICLE ROUTE TO YOUR PROPERTY

If your property has any restricted access, please let our sales team know this. This does not just mean your drive or directly outside your house but also that the road approaching your property is suitable for delivery trucks with either a crane on the back or a tail lift at the rear; that the route to your chosen delivery address has no weight restrictions and is free from low hanging branches or obstacles (including parked cars) which may cause damage to, or obstruct delivery vehicles. Please note charges may be incurred if delivery is attempted but you have unsuitable access. If the property or route to it has access issues, please discuss this with our sales team before an order is placed.

RECEIPT OF GOODS

All deliveries must be signed for on arrival. Please make sure that either you or a nominated third party are available to receive the order and to sign for the materials. If you make arrangement for a third party to take delivery we request that you let us know in advance and that you are available by phone in case of issues arising with your delivery. Should you see any damage with your delivery on arrival you must sign noting as ‘damaged’ on the delivery document and then contact us by phone within 2 working days of the delivery date. A failed delivery, requiring a re-delivery will be charged to you at cost.

Deliveries in Cornwall and Devon

Most deliveries within Cornwall and Devon are made by our delivery team using our fleet of trucks, most of which have HIAB (cranes).

Deliveries are available between 7am and 5pm on weekdays only. Although we do not offer timed deliveries we will do what we can to fit in with your needs, depending on existing bookings on the date chosen.

Deliveries can be requested for:

1st AM delivery (from 7am onwards, depending on location)

AM delivery (from 7am to 1pm)

PM delivery (from 12am to 5pm)

In exceptional instances, we may choose to use our third party pallet network delivery partner to complete the delivery for us. The sales team will inform you of this. For further information on deliveries by our third party pallet network delivery partner, see the section on pallet network deliveries below.

Deliveries Outside of Cornwall and Devon by our Third Party Pallet Network Delivery Partners

We do not offer timed deliveries; deliveries normally arrive between 8am and 6pm on weekdays. Delivery charges are inclusive of carriage and VAT unless otherwise stated. You will be required to pay any additional delivery charges, import duties or other taxes incurred, as we will not be responsible for paying them.

VEHICLE HIAB / CRANE

Deliveries made by our third party pallet network delivery partners are not normally made by a truck with a HIAB, so off-loading will be by a manual pallet truck. If a HIAB delivery vehicle is required please ensure that you discuss this with our sales team. The most cost effective solution may be for us to deliver to a HIAB company close to your location and for them to trans-ship to your delivery address. This may incur additional delivery costs and should be discussed with us in advance of completing the order. All deliveries are made with a tail lift offload so additional space at the rear of the truck will be required during off-loading. Due to our offload method a kerb-side delivery is all we can guarantee. Drivers often won’t try to get the stone onto your drive in case they cause damage and tarmac drives in the heat are often a problem.

SIZE OF VEHICLE

Delivery will be made on a large 26 tonne truck, approximately 13m long including the tail lift, 2.8m wide and 4m high. A smaller delivery vehicle can be requested but this must be discussed with our sales team before an order is placed. Delivery using a smaller truck will mean that the products will be sent to a pallet hub as close to you as possible and then transferred to the smaller truck for the last part of the journey. These arrangements may incur a delay in delivery.

VEHICLE OFFLOAD

The driver will unload using a tail-lift offload and manual pallet truck to push or pull the goods into position. The pallet truck can only be operated on a flat, level and solid surface which is free from grass or gravel as the small wheels on the pallet truck stop dead if an attempt is made to pull them over a rough surface or gravel. The driver will be unable to push or pull the goods up any sort of incline or pull the pallet truck over uneven ground. It is up to the driver where your goods are left. They may refuse to make delivery onto a drive if they are worried about causing damage to it with the wheels of the pallet truck and their delivery vehicles are not insured to enter your premises. Drivers will sometimes leave the goods kerb-side if you are there to witness it and only with your permission. If the driver considers your access unsuitable, for whatever reason, they are within their rights to refuse to unload the pallet or to leave it as near as possible to the required destination with your agreement.

WEIGHT OF GOODS

Our bulk bags weigh approximately 850kgs which is just under a tonne and our pallets of 4m2 walling are approximately 1000kgs which is a tonne. As the driver has to manually push or pull the pallet into position, they will struggle to do this if the ground isn’t flat and solid; if the driver considers it impractical to move pallets beyond the kerb-side, for whatever reason, they are within their rights to refuse to go beyond what is safe and will unload as near as possible to the required destination with your agreement.
